Root: 30 Day Journal

I recently read about an online journaling “workshop” or activity.  I am looking for ways to expand my simplistic art and to think about things in other ways so I decided to try it out.  The first saying to journal on is, “There is no beginning too small,” by Henry David Thoreau.  The first thing that popped into my head was a dandelion.  The dandelion fit this saying perfectly for me.  On the physical side, the dandelion seed is very small and light.  One dandelion can create hundreds of new dandelions.  On the emotional side, dandelions are dreams and wishes with the potential to come true.  Every time my kids and I pick one, we make a wish before we blow the beautiful seeds into the wind and set them on their journey.
